The salon is attractive, well-lit, and sort of green and woody: faux Zen spa interior design all the way. The looks of the place is actually what brought me in, so they've done well for themselves to have an attractive space.

I will definitely be back. For those who work in midtown near Rockefeller Center, I recommend Salon Today. Oh, and guys, don't be shy: there were THREE men having manicures today when I was there.

This is by far the best nail salon I've ever been to. I swear on essie and opi's. I work on the same block as today nails. I usually go every friday to see Jenny. If not Jenny, young is good too. But actually, when I started going there I just picked anybody..and I have to say, every nail technician definitely knows their stuff! I just choose jenny and young because I like to conversate with them and really, they do amazing manicures. Prices are decent Manhattan prices. Sometimes they have season prices when manis are $10. I live in Queens, and I rather pay a $12 mani in the city than a shit ass $6 mani in queens. Manicures here always last AT LEAST a week. best ever. please go try it, you won't regret it.

I have to admit that before actually going to Nails Today, I didn't have very high expectations. I mean, I figured that it would be an average nail salon with technicians that did an average job (like a lot of the places I have come across in the city). But boy was I wrong! The salon doesn't look like much from the outside, but when you get inside it's like entering a full-fledged spa...peaceful, relaxing, and comforting. It's also a pretty big space, with plenty of pedicure chairs (that included free massages!) and finger nail stations. Though I have come across more extensive polish color selections, I was impressed with the varying colors that they had to offer, as they had a lot of new colors that I had never seen before. The nails technicians were really fantastic.
